Almost a Horse Girl looks back on Caro Morris’s life of being a Weird Girl™ — but one who is painfully self-aware that she’s a Weird Girl™ and still refuses to change.
Her childhood was a maelstrom of ridiculousness, from debilitating crushes and romantic failure, rejection from a blood drive for being too overweight, and an OCD-fixation on the pre-industrial barter system. Even post-glow-up, Caro still doesn’t know how to flirt with boys, dance like someone is watching, or be anything other than her most authentic, obsessive, oddball self. In Almost a Horse Girl, Caro Morris brings this same unshakeable, “I am who I am” energy to the stage as she shares her life stories. And she promises, it’s all true (her OCD doesn’t let her lie).
