Get your hands in the soil and connect with your community at the Tamox Talom Food Forest! Our volunteer days are a fun, hands-on way to learn about regenerative gardening, contribute to a thriving local ecosystem, and share knowledge with fellow nature enthusiasts.
What to Expect:
- Hands-on Learning: Participate in seasonal tasks which may include planting native species, sheet mulching, weeding, composting, and harvesting edible plants.
- Connect with Nature: Experience the beauty and tranquility of our food forest. We'll point out what's in bloom and what's ready to eat, like our vibrant Turk's Cap and fragrant Palo Azul!
- Build Community: Meet like-minded people who care about sustainable food systems and green spaces.
- All Skill Levels Welcome: No prior gardening experience is necessary! Our team will provide guidance and tools. We believe everyone has something to contribute.
What to Bring:
- Reusable water bottle (we'll have water to refill)
- Sun protection (hat, sunscreen)
- Sturdy closed-toe shoes
- Clothes you don't mind getting dirty
- A positive attitude and readiness to learn!
We Provide:
- All necessary tools (gloves, shovels, wheelbarrows, etc.)
- Light snacks and refreshments
- A welcoming and supportive environment
