About this Event

About the Show

Join us for a special Main Stage presentation! In this brand-new show, very young children will discover the beauty of the world during daytime and nighttime. They will watch–and help–Winnie and August work the “day shift:” waking the birds, putting dew in the grass, and baking fresh clouds; and the “night shift:” releasing the fireflies, shining the stars, and banishing nightmares. It all unfolds using gentle, multi-sensory storytelling and audience participation.

About the Main Stage

Saturday Morning Live! programs on the Main Stage are very special occasions. Not only do you see great artists perform, you get to be on the stage yourself! There's no better way to enjoy The National's rich history than to peruse our backstage wall covered with show posters and memorabilia from pre-Broadway engagements and national tours.

Performances will take place at 10am and 11:30am on Saturday, April 25th on the Main Stage of The National Theatre, located at 1321 Pennsylvania Ave NW, Washington, DC 20004.

About the Artists

Imagination Stage envisions a future where theatre experiences are a fundamental aspect of children’s lives, nourishing their creative spirit, inspiring them to embrace the complexity and diversity of their world, and helping them overcome their challenges with hope, courage and, above all, creativity. Imagination Stage has grown from a handful of children in a single classroom to become the DMV's leader in positive youth development through the arts. Learn more at www.imaginationstage.org.
