Programme
Chamber music duo Anna Kondrashina (flute) and Pavel Timofeyevsky (piano) present a vibrant programme of their own arrangements for flute and piano. Throughout the performance, the artists will weave in moments of storytelling, offering glimpses into the origins of the music and the creative process behind their reimagined versions.
Ahead of their Rewired Music album recording in January, the concert offers a chance to hear transcriptions crafted over the past five years and to experience the duo’s playful, engaging approach to performance.

Artist Bio
A prizewinner at the Kobe International Flute Competition (Japan) and the Nicolet International Flute, Competition (China), Anna has recently been awarded the Worshipful Company of Musicians’ Silver Medal and is renowned for her communicative and inspiring performances. Her international career includes solo performances with the Buchmann-Mehta Symphony Orchestra (conducted by Zubin Mehta). In the UK, Anna frequently performs as principal and second flute with top orchestras such as the Philharmonia Orchestra, London Philharmonic and Royal Ballet Sinfonia. Anna has performed at major venues worldwide, including Carnegie Hall, Wigmore Hall and Suntory Hall. She has collaborated with artists such as Trevor Pinnock, Rachel Podger and Denis Bouriakov and inspired composers like Noah Max and Paul Henley to write new works for flute. Alongside pianist and composer Pavel Timofeyevsky, Anna created a unique collection of bespoke arrangements for flute and piano, titled Rewired Music. These transcriptions have been published by Just Flutes in London. Anna is an Altus Flutes artist and performs on a gold-plated 1207 model. Based in London, she teaches at the University of West London and regularly gives masterclasses worldwide.
Pianist and composer Pavel Timofeyevsky, winner of the BBC Young Composer of the Year Award, is quickly gaining a reputation as one of the most exciting and compelling artists emerging today. Audiences and press alike praise his playing for its “shimmering undertones, transient reality and sunlit rays full of rapturous colours” (Pulse UK). Pavel has performed at major concert venues in UK and worldwide which include the Royal Festival Hall, Wigmore Hall, Cadogan Hall, Queen Elizabeth Hall, Shanghai Oriental Centre for Arts, Mumbai
National Centre for Performing Arts, Guangzhou Opera House and the Linder Auditorium in Johannesburg. His New York debut at the renowned Merkin Hall at the Kaufman Center has brought him invitations to debut in Italy (Florence), as well as tours in Kenya and South Africa. Recent highlights include performing with the Hollywood Chamber Orchestra at the Fred Kavli Theatre in Los Angeles. Pavel is the Artistic Director of Philomel Creative Circle, a concert series in London, in residence at the Francis Crick Institute. In September 2023 he was invited to become Music Director of Devon Opera and Notable – opera projects in London. He debuted with his own arrangement of Puccini’s Tosca for both companies with the London performance featuring on Channel 4 News and garnering high praise in “Opera” magazine. An eloquent speaker Pavel gives regular lecture-recitals for Notable series “Music and Storytelling by Candlelight” in London.
