About this Event
Join us on April 11th at Felice Cafe for a cozy evening of music from the newly minted Winnipeg duo, Dominique Adams and Jacob Brodovsky!
Dominique Adams is a Winnipeg-based contemporary folk artist. Driving Dominique’s artistry is her lush and thoughtful approach to songwriting in tandem with her vocals – singular and iconic, inviting and heartfelt. Her debut full-length album Titled To Keep, was recorded in spring of 2024 with friends Liam Duncan (Boy Golden), Austin Parachoniak (Boy Golden, Del Barber), and Keiran Placatka (William Prince). It was released on July 18th 2025 with Birthday Cake Records, and saw her play Winnipeg Folk Fest, and spend many weeks on college and satellite radio charts.
Jacob Brodovsky is a singer-songwriter from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Treaty One Territory. He writes songs about feelings, the people who have them, the places that create them, and the fears we have about them. Jacob’s debut full length album I Love You and I’m Sorry earned him a 2024 Canadian Folk Music Award for English Songwriter of the Year. Jacob’s sophomore LP Tell The Kids We Tried is out July 10th on Make My Day Records. It was recorded with producers Gavin Gardiner and Champagne James Robinson (MOONRIIVR), crafting a contemporary folk record that tugs at the heartstrings while recounting Jacob's steadfastly hopeful approach to losing the community he'd known his whole life.
After meeting by chance at a house show, Dom and Jacob accidentally wrote an album together and began collaborating on each others solo work. When Dom and Jacob bring their respective voices and writing styles together, they write intimate and thoughtful songs born out a true collaborative partnership.
