About this Event
Sant Jordi is back in Camden Market.
Every year, Catalans celebrate their patron saint — shared with England — by exchanging books and roses. In London, the celebration brings together the Catalan community and friends for an afternoon of culture, performance and good company.
Join us on Sunday 26 April for a free, open-air celebration featuring:
13:00 — London Catalan Choir 13:30 — Colla Bastonera de Londres 14:00 — Castellers of London (human towers)
Alongside the performances, expect stalls with books and roses, Catalan food, and plenty of festive spirit.
What are castells? Castells — human towers — are a 200-year-old Catalan tradition recognised by UNESCO as Intangible Cultural Heritage. Castellers of London is the UK's only human tower building group, performing publicly since 2015. Come and see people of all ages and backgrounds build towers up to six levels high, right in the heart of Camden.
