About this Event
Build a strong network that’s focused on small business.
The SAME DC & NoVA Posts’ Small Business Conference brings together the State & Local and Federal agencies and businesses throughout the DC, Maryland, and Northern Virginia area to network, discuss upcoming contracting opportunities, connect with potential teaming partners, and more!
  • Plenary and moderated sessions with government and private sector panelists
  • Exhibit Hall for companies to showcase their offerings and networking
  • Matchmaking sessions to connect and engage with government agencies, small and large businesses

Agenda

The following schedule provides a timeline of the day's events. There will be 10 minute breaks to allow time for networking and snacks between the plenary and main panel sessions. Participants can earn up to five (5) Professional Development Hours (PDH) after attending the conference sessions. Speakers and content subject to change.

MATCHMAKING CONCURRENT SESSIONS

Large Businesses must reserve their table no later than Monday, April 15.

SAME Matchmaking is your opportunity to have one-on-one conversations with government agencies and large businesses. These short 10-minute sessions allow each side to get to know each other through sharing upcoming opportunities, requirements and capabilities. Matchmaking is coordinated through registration sign up. If you are interested in matchmaking as a host (Government, Non-Profit, Academia, Large Business) or a Small Business participant, please indicate during check out.

Optional and separate ticket purchases are available to join the SAME DC & NoVA conference attendees at a reserved section for the 6:45 pm Nats vs. Dodgers baseball game at Nationals Park adjacent to the Navy Yard the evening of April 24.

VOLUNTEER AT THE CONFERENCE

There are several opportunities to volunteer at this conference for short sessions. Please sign up on the spreadsheet with your information. All volunteers must register as a ticket holder to attend the conference and volunteer. Volunteers will receive an extra drink ticket at the Happy Hour event after the conference and recognition at the event and Digital Program.

All-day conference tickets include admission to all conference sessions, networking and optional matchmaking, all-day coffee and water stations, snacks, lunch and happy hour event.

Regular priced tickets must be purchased via Eventbrite by 7:00 pm on Friday, April 19. All tickets purchased after the deadline will be charged the Late Registration Rate, payable online through Eventbrite, check, or Venmo the day of the event. No cash accepted.

Ticket Refund Policy

Refund and Transfer requests will be accepted through 7:00 pm ET on Friday, April 19, 2024, and must be received in writing to [email protected].

  • Refund Fee: Full refund, less administrative fee of $50
  • Transfer Fee: $25

Government registrations will receive full refunds at any time except for no-shows. No-shows from non-profit / academia / industry do not qualify for refunds.

Day-of-event transfers will not be accepted and attendee must pay Late Registration fee to attend the conference.

Sponsorship Refund Policy

Sponsorship payment is non-refundable. In order to receive your full benefits, the sooner you select sponsorship, the sooner you can use your benefits. Because of publishing deadlines, some benefits may not be available after April 10, therefore no new sponsorships can be purchased after that date. It is the responsibility of the sponsor to provide logos, narratives, attendee ticket holder information, and other details to be included in conference materials, programs, signage, and social media. Exhibit Booth Reservation and Payment Policy

Booth selection and availability are based on a first come, first serve basis. BEFORE purchasing your exhibit booth, please contact Romano Dickerson () to verify location and reserve your booth.

Payment via Eventbrite checkout is required to finalize your booth reservation and is due no later than Wednesday, April 17, 2023. Booths purchased after April 17 may not be published in the Conference program because of publishing deadlines. SAME DC & NoVA Posts reserve the right to cancel booths that have not been paid within 48 hours of requested and accepted reservation. Non-members purchasing member rates will be invoiced the cost difference.

Exhibit Booth Cancelation/Refund Policy

Full refund of all payments, less a $100 administrative fee will be granted if written notice is received by SAME DC/NoVA Posts no later than April 3, 2023.

A 50% refund of exhibit booth fees, less a $100 administrative fee will be granted if written notice is received by SAME DC/NoVA Posts no later than April 17, 2023.

Commencing April 18, 2023, no refunds will be granted. Please send all booth cancellation/refund requests to Romano Dickerson ().

Note to DC Visitors: When following directions in DC, double-check the quadrant so you don’t end up on the other side of town! The DC map is a grid of four quadrants, with the U.S. Capitol as the focal point. Consequently, every street is either NW, SW, NE, or SE of the Capitol. Capital Turnaround is in the SE quadrant of the city. The conference entrances is on the west side of the building on 7th Street SE.
