Celebrate the love of reading with local Latino authors and the National Museum of the American Latino at the museum's first Día del Niño: A Celebration of Children’s Storytime and Literacy.

1:30pm-2:30pm: Euclides Rengifo Córdoba reads “The Interesting and Exciting Vacation Plan of Mailys”

Euclides Rengifo Córdoba is a passionate Afro-Colombian leader born in Quibdó, Chocó. He lives in Washington, D.C., where he works as an educator and activist. Euclides is the author of “The Interesting and Exciting Vacation Plan of Mailys”. The book, partly based on his daughter’s life, follows Mailys’ journey to her native country after seven years of absence.

The event will be held in the General Motors Learning Lounge of the Molina Family Latino Gallery at the National Museum of American History. Registered attendees will receive a free signed copy of a book while supplies last. Registration is required through Eventbrite.

Space in the GM Learning Lounge is limited. If a registrant does not check in within 10 minutes of the program start time, the seat(s) will be given to people in the waiting line.
