About this Event
Your ticket donations will go towards supporting Hummingbird Refugee Project to keep their vital Global Social Club for young refugees up and running. Hear from some of the people they support on the evening.

Join us at Pink Moon for the chance to see and discuss a selection of short films from diaspora and underrepresented filmmakers from Iran and Afghanistan. Selection includes films by Iranian women (and men) exploring gender and identity, animation examing the notion of borders, and a comic take on taboos around dating in Afghanistan.
This will be the second event in the inaugural SAMA Brighton film festival (brighton.samaiff.com) which takes place from June 15-19 - a new offshoot of the Sama International Film Festival which has been held in Stockholm for nearly two decades and which provides an international platform dedicated to freedom of expression and to amplifying the voices of displaced, diasporic and underrepresented filmmakers.
SAMA Brighton is brought to you by Stories from Nowhere CIC and is generously supported by Chalk Cliff Trust and Enjoolata Foundation. The programme includes screenings at The Depot, Pink Moon, The Rose Hill, Dukes at Komedia, and Fabrica. See brighton.samaiff.com for full details.
*Massive thanks to Theo Momber and Levi William for our incredible orginal Sama artwork.
