Recognising and Responding to Sexual Harassment

An interactive training session to help ensure you are preventing, and responding well to, experiences of sexual harassment at work.
About this Event

Survivors’ Network is the Rape Crisis Centre for Sussex. Established in 1990, our training is informed through our decades of practice, and embedded position within this sector.

About this course

There are recent legislative updates which place greater responsibility on all employers to take preventative steps against sexual harassment; including ensuring staff receive adequate training.

At Survivors’ Network, we provide compassionate, inclusive, and trauma-informed training to assist you in these duties, upskill in recognising, and responding to experiences of sexual harassment - whilst holding the human element at the forefront of the learning.

This is a session for those working in the Brighton Lanes (and Laine!) setting, where we can navigate these discussions to consider the needs of smaller, public-facing business.

All income raised goes directly back into supporting survivors across Sussex. When you book training with us, you’re also helping to fund essential support services.

And because we are used to holding conversations around what can be sensitive, but important issues, we are always pleased to see positive feedback from our attendees:

"I'll be honest, I thought this training would be boring or a bit of a lecture, but it was actually really interesting and engaging!"

Learning Outcomes

1) Understanding sexually harassment and the legal context

2) Understanding the impacts of sexual harassment.

3) Bystander Intervention and tools for challenging workplace harassment.

4) Practical tips for supporting a survivor of harassment.
