About this Event
Safety Planning: A LINC to Life Suicide Prevention Training teaches how to help an individual establish a plan for safety while they are experiencing thoughts of suicide. Participants will learn strategies for collaboratively building a Wellness Toolbox and Crisis Action Plan with someone once suicide risk is identified. Safety Planning requires identification of triggers, coping strategies, personal and professional supports, opportunities to keep the environment safe or limit risky behaviors, and reasons for living, all of which will be reviewed in this training. Liability considerations for professionals will also be discussed.
