S-ence returns to the Cuba St Tavern Courtyard with a special concept night to warm your winter blues. Essential Selections feat

After playing alongside each other at Arkadien last year, this powerhouse-trio hatched the idea of playing a concept night together where they each would go a bit more free-range and play sets and tracks that riff off each other. Not quite a B2B session but definitely as much fun.
So with that in mind - S-ence is proud to welcome Matt Drake back to the capital.
Matt Drake has been a champion of timeless electronic body music in Aotearoa for more than two decades. His style is a hypersonic melting pot of cosmic house jams and hypnotic Detroit techno grooves. Drawing inspiration from the astral arpeggios of 70s Krautrock, ragged Balearic vagabond synth pop of the 80s and proto-rave machine rhythms of the 90s.
Jen Kyle's cult following continues to grow - synonymous for her DJ sets where she journeys through everything from techno to disco, punk to funk, soul to hip hop, new wave and beyond.
Rounding out the triptych - DJ Coda can't wait to return to the CST and the opportunity to delve in and out of some different genre boxes. Hot off sets at CubaDupa and Baobab @ Newtown Festival, the courtyard is one of his favourite places to play.
Expect an Essential Selection spanned early and lates sets from all three selectors with lots of fun on and off the decks.
