This Rört Special is a talk on the root of suffering, from a Zen buddhist persepctive; The depth of our ego. Life is such a peculiar phenomena, and we strive to guide ourselves in the best possible manner. But often we end up in loops of self-obsessed behaviour and belly button gazing. The practice of Zen and the philosophy behind it tries to uncover the way our ego is not helping us thrive.
Here we will talk about the human experience, and in what way we can practice a sense of ego-lessness without sacrificing our own emotional needs.
Zen does not want us to become sense-less and numb, rather it is an opening towards the symphony of life, the thread of all things - the connection between humans.
ABOUT THE TEACHER
Marcus Udsen Grandjean is a Human physiologist that coaches physicality and meditation with special emphasis on the relationship between neurology, modern psychology and ancient philosophy. Marcus focuses on bringing more awareness on mental health and spirituality in a contemporary context, that relies on science, practice and poetry.
