🤔 Ale po kolei... Co to właściwie jest ten Bal Folk?
👉 Bal folk to „bal folkowy”, czyli wydarzenie taneczne do muzyki folkowej 🎶
🌍 To także zbiór tańców tradycyjnych z różnych części Europy, który zaczął być tworzony we Francji od lat 70-tych i z czasem przekształcił się w odrębny styl taneczny.
💫 Jego bogactwem jest różnorodność muzyki i kroków — obejmuje setki tańców m.in. z Francji, krajów Beneluksu, Hiszpanii, Portugalii, Irlandii, Szwecji, Włoch, Polski, a także tańce bałkańskie i żydowskie.
❤️ Siłą balfolku jest nie tylko piękno muzyki i łatwość kroków, ale też jego integracyjny, społeczny charakter — nie trzeba 10 lat treningu, żeby świetnie się bawić!

📍 Wydarzenie odbędzie się na Osiedlu Jazdów, na tarasie przed Chatą Numinosum.

🎶 Join us for a dance-filled Night of Museums in Warsaw!
✨ The event will take the form of a bal folk with live music performed by the outstanding French-Italian band DuOblique.
👣 During the event, you’ll be able to learn the basic steps at partner dance workshops led by Agata Abramowicz and Patryk Wernio.

🤔 But first things first… what exactly is bal folk?
👉 Bal folk is a “folk ball” — a dance event with folk music 🎶
🌍 It’s also a collection of traditional dances from different parts of Europe, developed in France since the 1970s and gradually evolving into a distinct dance style.
💫 Its richness lies in the diversity of music and steps — it includes hundreds of dances from France 🇫🇷, Benelux 🇧🇪🇳🇱🇱🇺, Spain 🇪🇸, Portugal 🇵🇹, Ireland 🇮🇪, Sweden 🇸🇪, Italy 🇮🇹, Poland 🇵🇱, as well as Balkan and Jewish dances.
❤️ The strength of bal folk is not only the beauty of the music and the simplicity of the steps, but also its social, inclusive nature — you don’t need 10 years of training to have a great time!
👶👵 Everyone can dance — children, adults, and seniors alike.

🤹 WORKSHOPS (17:00–18:00)
During the one-hour workshop, Patryk and Agata will introduce you to the world of bal folk partner dances 💃🕺
👣 You’ll learn the basics of: scottish, waltz, and mazurka.
🙌 The instructors will also be present during the dance party and will help guide the dances.
🥳 DANCE PARTY (18:00–19:00)
🎶 During the party, DuOblique will play for you:
🎵 You’ll dance to: waltzes, mazurkas, scottishes, cercle circassien, chapelloise, bourrée and more
📍 The event will take place at Jazdów Settlement, on the terrace in front of Chata Numinosum.
