We find ourselves in Berlin — our roots somewhere else, we came for a short stay, lingered, and let the city slowly find us.
Roots & Wandering is a cozy tea & journaling afternoon for anyone who ended up in this city and is still figuring out what that means — which, let's be honest, is most of us.
We'll begin with a refreshing cold brew, then move through four teas brewed slowly in the Chinese gongfu cha tradition — each one a quiet companion to a different moment of the afternoon. Along the way, we'll slow down, write, and sit with the questions that city life rarely leaves room for.
Where do I belong? What am I still carrying? What does home feel like, here, now?
Through a short guided meditation, conscious writing, and self-guided journaling with prompts and colorful creative tools, we create a soft space to pause, reflect, and nourish ourselves. We'll close by writing a letter — to Berlin, to our future selves, or to both.
About the Venue:
Love Burger is a cozy, 100% plant-based, alcohol-free neighbourhood spot in Neukölln, run by a husband and wife from mixed backgrounds who love bringing people together over good food in a space that feels like it's for everyone. Everything is made from scratch with a lot of love — including their legendary falafel with 12 secret spices from Jordan, which will be joining us as our afternoon snack. 🧆 the perfect home for Roots & Wandering.

About the Host: Lavia Lin is a Berlin-based artist, live painting performer, and tea enthusiast originally from Shanghai, China. Her paintings are born from close-listening — contemplative, colorful landscapes of sound, where music becomes image and image becomes feeling. She hosts creative and mindfulness gatherings, creating warm spaces where people can slow down, connect, and nourish themselves.
