About this Event
The soil doesn't lie - and neither do we. This May, We Sow We Grow is closing out International Compost Awareness Week in true West Pullman fashion: by giving the good stuff back to the community.
Join us on Friday, May 9 at 10 AM at the farm for our Compost Giveback + Farm Demo Day. We'll be handing out finished compost (while supplies last!) so you can feed your garden, your containers, your backyard plot — whatever patch of earth you're working with. And while you're here, stick around for hands-on compost demonstrations where you'll learn how we turn food scraps and organic matter into black gold, right here on the farm.
This is free, fun, and grounded in real community food work. But compost is limited — so bring your bucket, your bag, your container of choice and come get yours.
This year's International Compost Awareness Week theme is "Sustainable Communities Begin with Compost" — and we couldn't agree more. Healthy communities start with healthy soil, and healthy soil starts with us.
