About this Event
Root to Rise is a grounding, restorative workshop created to support Black women in reconnecting with their bodies, breath, and inner wisdom. Designed as a gentle and affirming space, this session blends movement, mindfulness, and cultural care practices to help participants release stress, reclaim rest, and rise into their strength.
Guided by holistic wellness practitioner and yoga teacher LoToya Cadogan, participants will experience breathwork, gentle yoga, and self-affirmation exercises tailored to honour the layered experiences of Black womanhood. LoToya’s approach centers joy, rest, and self-compassion, offering tools that uplift emotional balance and personal resilience.
This session invites attendees to ground themselves deeply, nourish their spirits, and explore how movement can be a pathway to empowerment, community, and self-love. Participants will leave with accessible practices they can use beyond the workshop to stay regulated, rooted, and confident in their everyday lives.
