About this Event
Root & Rise!
Root & Rise is an invitation to step outside — into the open air, into your own breath, and into a circle of people who are also learning, unlearning, softening, and beginning again.
We’ll gather beneath the sky, surrounded by trees and open space, letting nature do what it does best: remind us that we’re held, that we belong, and that we don’t have to move through life alone.
This mini‑retreat is intentionally slow and spacious. You’ll be guided through grounding practices, gentle somatic movement, reflective journaling, and quiet moments of inward listening. But one of the most meaningful parts of our time together is the community we create — a small, tender circle where you can be seen without performing, heard without explaining, and supported simply by being present.
There may be moments when the breeze shifts and something inside you loosens.
Moments when someone else’s words land exactly where you needed them.
Moments when you realize you’ve been craving this kind of connection — with yourself, with others, with the world around you.
This gathering is a place to set down what’s heavy, root into what feels true, and rise — gently, intentionally — toward what’s calling you next.
Come as you are.
Leave feeling a little more open, a little more grounded, and a little more connected — to yourself, to the earth beneath you, and to the community beside you.
An Introduction
Hi, I’m Alexis Brightman, LPA. In my work as a mental health professional, I spend a lot of time helping people slow down, reconnect with themselves, and move through life with more presence and compassion. Over the years, I’ve seen how powerful it can be when people have a gentle, intentional space to breathe and simply be — outside of the structure of therapy.
Root & Rise grew from that belief. I wanted to create a community‑centered mini‑retreat where we can gather in a warm, supportive environment, ground ourselves, and tend to the parts of us that often get overlooked in the busyness of daily life. While I bring a trauma‑sensitive, grounding‑oriented approach to the space, this isn’t therapy and isn’t meant to replace therapy. It’s an opportunity to connect, reflect, and feel held in community.
I’m honored to guide this experience and to welcome you exactly as you are.
