About this Event

RODLAB is a bi-monthly Theatre of The Oppressed practice group & co-learning space. It is a place where ANYBODY can come and do a technique, discuss the text or try out a short impro game - or just turn up, play and have fun together.

We're predominantly looking at Rainbow Of Desires techniques but RODLAB is a supportive environment that welcomes people from all practices, backgrounds and walks of life.

This month we are having a special and welcoming Pilar Sanchez along to share a Social Dreaming Matrix introduction and activity with us. This will be followed by a theatre technique from the TOP tradition. At the end of the session you will be invited to discuss what it was like combining these traditions in a workshop.

You are encouraged to record/ write your dreams in the run up to the workshop.Come ready to share them in the present tense, as if there are happening at the moment of sharing:

i.e. 'I am setting up an eventbrite listing, and then my laptop turns into a blue cup'

i.e. There are children playing outside my house. I hear one of them scream. I open the front door. A little girl runs towards me.'

However- it is not essential to share or record your dreams. Don't worry if you're someone who does not remember your dreams.You are still welcome and will be able to fully contribute if you so wish.

After, for those who are willing and able, there’s a no obligation trip to the pub! We are a friendly, supportive group that is open to all who would like to come along!
