About this Event
Dear Attendee,
Here are the essentials you need to know:
Arrival: 9:00 -10 am.
Start of events: 10 am SHARP
The dress is casual. There will be glue, tape, glitter, and other items that can stick to clothes, so please bear this in mind.
The staff at the entrance will register you and your children with passes, etc.
The reception staff will have a list of all registered children, along with the names/phone numbers you provided during registration. If you are dropping them off and not staying to help, please ensure the number they have for you is correct in case we need to contact you during the day.
If you'd like to stay and help your child’s team, we have some spaces available. Just let us know.
Lunch is provided and will be served from 1:00 to 2 p.m. in the back area of the auditorium. We have arranged for light refreshments to be served. If your child has special dietary requirements, please ensure you accompany them to supervise their lunch. If necessary, feel free to take them for an outside lunch.
Water will be provided throughout the day, as it’s thirsty work.
Pictures and videos will be taken during the event, which will be used to promote it on printed materials or social media.
There will be two events in the afternoon that you might like to join us for.
Judging: ~3:00 pm – around this time, we will be judging the aesthetic designs of the robots and hearing the groups discuss the thought process behind their designs.
Battle: ~3:30 pm – right before the day ends, you will see your child’s team pit its creation against all the other robots in a battle for glory in the arena of robot carnage
Ends: ~4:10 pm We will tidy up, and you are free to come and take your children.
