Rituals: Botanical infusions, from ancient folklore to modern wellness

Fortnum’s Food & Drink Studio welcomes you to the next instalment of their new monthly series exploring beverage rituals. Following March’s deep dive into ceremonial cacao, this April we turn our attention to infusions – a practice rooted in ancient wisdom and newly embraced by modern wellbeing culture.

Long before tea became a daily habit, people across cultures steeped plants, flowers and roots not only for flavour, but for comfort, health and connection. This session will explore infusions as a thread running through history, culture and wellbeing, and consider why these simple rituals feel especially relevant today. As wellness continues to shape how we eat and drink, infusions offer a gentle invitation to slow down, reconnect and drink with intention.

As part of the experience, guests will be guided through a tasting of Fortnum’s infusion range, discovering how the ingredients have drawn on both ancient folklore and modern science.
