About this event
Get a hands-on introduction to our Risograph at The Soapbox while creating your very own Valentine's Day cards! Find out what a Risograph is, how it works, how to prepare art for it, and explore how to print with it. Over 3 hours, we'll cover the basics of burning masters, analog art, multi-color printing, registration, Riso printing quirks, maintenance, and other best practices.
During the workshop, you'll create your two-color, red, and pink Valentine's design, and collaboratively print it on the Riso, and you'll leave the workshop with a stack of your design and at least one copy of the design from other participants. The size of the Valentine's will be 2.75 X 4.25. Just like the kind of Valentine's found in boxes at drug stores!
Please note: Masking is now encouraged, but optional in the studio space. Individuals who feel uncomfortable using the space with others unmasked, whether for health or any other reason, are welcome to request mask wearing while they are using the studio space.
