About this Event
The Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (CIE) within the Costello College of Business at George Mason University invites you to the graduation of its newest initiative, SOAR ! Join us on Saturday, May 18, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the LSSNCA (Lutheran Social Services of the National Capital Area) Resource Center located in Alexandria.
The SOAR Initiative is an inclusive entrepreneurship training and support resource for community members. SOAR provides a holistic model for startups and empowers individuals who do not currently have adequate access to entrepreneurship training opportunities.
The event will honor the graduation of the participants of the program who have completed the SOAR entrepreneurship training program. The event will also honor Sumeet Shrivastava and his family, who have generously made a gift of $1.5 million in support of the Refugee and Immigrant Success through Entrepreneurship (RISE) Program. RISE is a program within the SOAR Initiative that will focus on aspiring entrepreneurs who are refugees and immigrants.
This event is open to invited donors, mentors, community partners, LSSNCA staff and volunteers, George Mason University faculty and staff, and program participants.
