About this Event
🚲 Ride It Keep It – Glen Innes
Run by Got To Get Out | Supported by Auckland Transport
Sun 07 June | Point England Reserve (Parking Area)
Want a bike? Learn how to use it, ride it… and keep it.
Ride It Keep It is a free community event designed by Got To Get Out to get Glen Innes, Panmure and Point England locals riding. You’ll be matched with a refurbished bike from the Got To Get Out Workshop (Glenfield Auckland), learn how to care for it, go for a guided group ride along the cycle path — and take your bike home at the end of the session. Plus you get a FREE helmet, lock and pump too!
Behind the programme is a dedicated team of mechanics and volunteers at the Got To Get Out Workshop who restore donated bikes and give them a second life — helping keep bikes out of landfill while making cycling more accessible to the community.
🌱 What's this about?
This programme is part of a wider initiative to:
- Get more people riding bikes locally
- Reduce transport emissions
- Give quality refurbished bikes a second life instead of landfill
- Build confidence and independence through cycling
