About this Event
Ricky Williams, a talented singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist, is set to perform a free live concert on Lincoln Road at the South Beach Jazz Festival. With a career spanning decades, Ricky has graced many upscale clubs and venues across South Florida, including a record eleven-year residency at the iconic Forge on Miami Beach and performances at the Seminole Hardrock Casino & Hotel. Known for his unique blend of Smooth Jazz, R&B, and Soul, he has captivated audiences with his heartfelt performances, including appearances before stars like Don King, Whitney Houston, and Prince. Raised in New York City, Ricky’s early exposure to legendary venues like The Village Gate helped shape his musical journey. Blind since age six, he began drumming at nine and later studied piano under the guidance of blind artist Valerie Capers.
Ricky’s career highlights include writing "Misty Morning" for Temptations' singer Ollie Woodson, collaborating with legends like Bette Midler and Roy Ayers, and contributing to Stevie Wonder’s "Soundbook." He continues to share his love of music with South Florida audiences, both as a solo artist and a member of the Miami Lighthouse Inner Vision Band, which showcases the talents of visually impaired musicians. At the South Beach Jazz Festival, Ricky and his bandmates promise an inspiring and soulful performance filled with jazz classics, dynamic improvisation, and a rich blend of musical influences.
Ricky Williams is playing as part of an all-star jazz line-up on Lincoln Road (1100 Lincoln Road). Do not miss the South Beach Jazz Festival’s “Jazz Hits the Road,” a beautiful day of jazz music.
