About this Event
Join architect and author on a guided walking tour through the Cator Estate in Blackheath, exploring the post-war modern architecture of Blackheath and Greenwich.
Based on her recent publication Modern Buildings in Blackheath & Greenwich 1950–2000 (Park Books, 2024), the tour examines mid- to late-twentieth-century homes and developments that shaped the area’s unique architectural identity.
Participants will encounter buildings by Eric Lyons (Span Estates), Patrick Gwynne, Peter Moro, Walter Greaves, and others, gaining insight into their social and design contexts. The walk will include opportunities to discuss architectural details and may include a visit to a Span house, subject to availability
