Dear all,
Summer is approaching, so it's time for a lovely celebration. You are hereby invited to the premiere of REX' Collages II: Unfold in the beautiful halls of Musikhuset København on May 25th at 3:00 p.m., as part of the official program of Art Matter Festival.

The two composers, Rasmus Christian Pedersen and Erik Danciu, have teamed up with three filmmakers, Selma Sunniva, Nicolai G.H. Johansen, and Óskar Kristinn Vignisson, to create a collaborative work. The piece is inspired by the surrealist method of cadavre exquis, also known from the children's game where a blank piece of paper is folded three times, and each person draws parts of a human body.
The dogma has been that the music is the canvas on which the filmmakers paint. The visual elements are born solely from the filmmakers' associations - without any direct influence from the composers. With this method, we aim to let the audio dictate the visuals and challenge the typical process of filmmaking.
