About this Event
We know that complex trauma can present at any point across the lifespan of an individual and in any setting - physical and mental health, from primary care to specialist services. This workshop is for anyone who is curious to explore the presentation of complex trauma in whatever setting in which they work and to consider the experiences of accessing and engaging appropriate care and treatment for C-PTSD across the lifecycle.
This workshop will have presentations from a variety of speakers - a trauma specialist, a child and adolescent psychotherapist, a retired GP and academic and a trauma survivor and lived experience researcher. There will be small groups to link the presentations to your own setting and then a panel discussion.
Workshop Outcomes
- To understand the diagnosis of Complex PTSD and how it may present in different settings
- To consider how this may apply to your work setting
- To consider what the therapeutic options and opportunities are of this diagnosis
