About this Event
Resounding Territories presents a showcase of projects developed by students from the ReSound Master’s programme at IADT & Universidade Lusófona within the course Sound Ecosystems, led by Raquel Castro.
Using sound as a medium for research and expression, the works explore territory as a sensory, affective, and relational experience. Distributed throughout Carnegie Library, the projects form a sonic ecosystem where different approaches coexist and interact.
The works address themes such as belonging, migration, memory, and identity, often through soundscapes that intersect the intimate and the collective, the local and the displaced.
This event will feature works from international artists from the First Cohort of the New Erasmus Master Re:Sound. In collaboration with artists in Lisbon, some installations are made for the visitor to enjoy the works presented in both countries.
The featured works will be “Entretiempos” by Alejandra Macías (Dublin) in collaboration with Shyalina Muthumidalige’s “Almaria” (Lisbon); “Guest House” by Pritom Chakraborty (Dublin), Diego Torres (Dublin) and Autumn Bochart (Lisbon); “Unseen Protsgonist” by Olivia Soenarto (Dublin) and Pritom Chakraborty (Dublin); “Antara - Between the Notes” by Abhinav K Jayan (Dublin).
