Resisting Extinction offers practices for living and dying together on, in and with a damaged Earth.
Resisting Extinction invites us to look around and notice what we are losing. Together our bodies live inside this ecological crisis. We must hone our skills, to be receptive, to improvise, to play, to experiment, to grieve, to metabolize, to be together in the unknown and trust we have resources in our bodies to negotiate, survive, and thrive.
We invite you into the forest for a weather walk, a search through deep time for disappearing beings, and a dying and decomposing practice to prepare for potential climate realities.
Join performers Anu Laiho, Georgie Goater, Mari Pitkänen, Pia Lindy, Otto Ramstad, Olive Bieringa, Sara Le Mela and Sigrid Marie Kittelsaa Vesaas.

The work is an artistic part of Olive Bieringa’s artistic research at Performing Arts Centre Tutke at the Theatre Academy of the Uniarts Helsinki. This edition in Mustavuori is co-produced together with the working group, Uniarts Helsinki and Reality Research Center with support from Kulttuuri Helsinki, The Fund for Performing Artists, Norway, Nordic-Baltic Mobility Program for Culture & University of the Arts Helsinki

As part of the performance, you will travel through the forest on roads and trails for approximately 2-3 km. More details to follow.
