Booking RESEARCH ESSENTIALS (RE) via Eventbrite - Attendee Criteria for RE:
1. RE is mandatory and only available for New Starters to LTHT Research and Innovation Directorate
2. Everyone must book themselves on via Eventbrite with their own NHS.net email ONLY when they have commenced their new role.
3. This should be booked by the individual NOT by the immediate line manager
4. All attendees must have completed NIHR Introduction to Good Clinical Practice (GCP) training
Who is this course for?
Research Essentials is a mandatory training programme for new starters in clinical Research at LTHT i.e those who are either new to research or experienced in research but new to the LTHT Research and Innovation Directorate.
RE is a mandatory course for all new research staff at LTHT that will be delivered over 2 following days (2 days following from the course start date) and cover:
1. Introduction to research
2. Research Governance
3. Consent , Eligibility and recruitment
4. Study Conduct
5. Data Management
6. Study set up and Feasibility
7. Competency Framework
Both days will be conducted in person in the RIC (unless otherwise informed). This will be confirmed in the email sent closer to the date, including all other details you may need. The course starts at 9am both days and will finish by 4pm. You will receive and email 1 week before the training starts.
