Who is this training for?? All hospital staff, including clerical/admin, allied health, medical, security staff, and patient services employed in:

During the in-person training, participants will explore:
- Factors impacting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health and wellbeing.
- The effects of trauma on the body, brain, and overall health.
- Practical strategies to support Aboriginal parents experiencing complex trauma.
- Techniques to enhance safety, minimize triggers, and promote healing.
Replanting the Birthing Trees has also developed an introductory online self-directed course with Emerging Minds (5 modules, 4-5 hours total) that you can access free of charge: Supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families and children in the first 2,000 days. While not required, you are strongly encouraged to complete this online course before attending your training session.
Catering:
Morning tea, lunch, and afternoon tea will be provided. Options will include vegetarian and gluten-free.
