All welcome to a relaxed screening in Lochinver of How to Train Your Dragon! Our relaxed screenings are adapted to be welcoming to people with autism, other neurodivergence or additional support needs, or for anyone for whom a more flexible cinema experience would suit.
You can expect:
- No adverts or trailers
- Lights dimmed, not fully dark
- Sound at a lower volume
- A limited number of ear defenders available to borrow (suitable for child to adult sizes)
- Descriptive captions
- Audiences are welcome to make noise or move as needed.
- We will reduce capacity on these screenings to allow more space between audience members.
- A quiet space available to take a break in at the Assynt Church of Scotland next to the machine.

For generations, the Vikings of the isle of Berk have been at war with the dragons. Hiccup, the keen but overlooked son of the revered Chieftain Stoick, shoots down a rare Night Fury dragon in an effort to prove himself. But when he chooses to spare its life, this act of compassion leads to him befriending the dragon, who he calls Toothless.
