Highly acclaimed Japanese vibraphonist Taiko Saito brings her rarely heard Berlin Mallet Group to the stage the only improvising mallet ensemble of its kind where three warm woody marimbas envelop the clear vibraphone sound. Through-composed harmonic pieces alternate with improvisation instant composing and excursions into atonality.

In the second band of the night Witch ‘n‘ Monk Heidi Heidelberg a British anarchic soprano guitarist improviser and composer combines classical colouratura jazz scat beatbox and rock singing. Witch ‘n’ Monk create a sound that is entirely their own by combining a wide variety of instruments - traditional Latin American flutes unconventional vocals electric guitar and customised electronics.
