About this Event
This ongoing program is for K-12 educators who have experience beyond the early-years of teaching and who are looking to reflect and expand on their practice. We will explore effective strategies and foster the exchange of ideas in a supportive cohort to address some of the challenges that are hindering participants’ ability to shine as their best selves as educators.
Participants will delve into topics that impact both the internal and external dynamics of the classroom such as parent/teacher partnerships, differentiation, and the use of technology. We will reference relevant frameworks to provide a common language for reflection and goal-setting. Participants will set concrete goals and receive support to achieve them. Participants are encouraged to bring artifacts from teaching to various sessions, enabling hands-on practice of the discussed strategies.
Prior to the program launch, educators will share their areas of interest and needs, allowing for more tailored content, relevant tools and resources. There will be dedicated time for participants to discuss their own specific challenges and gain valuable insights from the diverse experiences of their peers.
Participants will:
- Explore concepts of differentiation, home/school partnerships, and teacher leadership
- Reflect on their practice individually and in community using discussion protocols and various frameworks
- Share artifacts of practice with colleagues and provide their experienced perspectives about what others bring
- Reflect on successes, challenges, and a path forward that will support the needs of their classrooms and their ongoing professional growth
- Build community with fellow educators
