This show marks the debut album release party for 'The Harmonic Pull' by Silenzio and the Night who bring a distinctly English strain of eccentric, wistful art-pop. Morrissey- and Hanlon-tinged vocals sit against jangling guitars, intimate rhythms and haunting, insistent violin and cello that threads through every track. The Red Propellers meanwhile are a Stroud/Bristol quartet inspired by the music of the late 1970’s New York City ‘punk’ scene. Music journalist Kris Needs described the band as a fabulous group, with buckets of vision, passion and unpredictable madness; all much needed in today’s sanitised world. They are currently promoting their Rollercoaster Records EP Not Holding the Centre.
