Attend the FREE special recycling event hosted by the city's Sustainability and Solid Waste team. Staff will be accepting mattresses, cardboard, Styrofoam, plastic bags, tires, and used furniture (complete application below by June 3).📅 Saturday, June 6 | 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.

✅ MATTRESSES & BOX SPRINGS
Must be dry and have no excessive stains, no bed bugs and no blood stains ($35 cash for each piece)
✅ CARDBOARD (flattened)
✅ STYROFOAM
Styrofoam peanuts and bubble wrap (Bagged packing peanuts accepted)
Clean white block Styrofoam (Look for #6 or EPS inside the recycle symbol)
❌ NO tape or labels
✅ PLASTIC BAGS
Grocery bags
Film
Clean food bags
Plastic Amazon envelopes
❌ NO hard plastics
❌ NO tarps
❌ NO toys or totes
✅ TIRES (Cars, Pickup Trucks & Motorcycle)
Bias ply, steel belted and studded tires accepted (Take tires off rims; limit 10 tires)
❌ NO semi truck or tractor tires
🥫 NON-PERISHABLE FOOD donations will be collected at each 2026 recycling event to help Renton neighbors in need. Donations will be provided to the local food bank.

The Furniture Repair Bank will collect gently worn and damaged furniture to be restored, repaired, and then gifted to community members in need.
YOU MUST COMPLETE AN ONLINE APPLICATION BY WEDNESDAY, JUNE 3. You will be notified by June 5, close of business, if approved. Picture of item/s required. A limited number of items will be accepted, and Furniture Repair Bank reserves the right to reject any item on the day.
