British Bangladeshi Psychiatrists Association Iftar Gathering
Friday 13 March 2026 | 16:00 – 20:00
Royal College of Psychiatrists
21 Prescot Street, London E1 8BB
The British Bangladeshi Psychiatrists Association warmly invites you to a special Iftar gathering at the Royal College of Psychiatrists.
We are delighted that this will be the first ever Iftar hosted at the RCPsych premises, marking an important moment of community, inclusion and shared reflection within our professional family.
Iftar is the evening meal with which Muslims break their fast at sunset during the month of Ramadan. In Islamic tradition, communal Iftar is a time for reflection, gratitude, generosity, and bringing people together across communities.
We are honoured that Professor Owen Bowden-Jones, Registrar of the Royal College of Psychiatrists, and Professor Subodh Dave, Dean of the Royal College of Psychiatrists, will be attending this special gathering. Their presence marks the significance of this first-ever Iftar at the RCPsych premises and reflects a shared commitment to inclusion, community and connection within our profession.
This event is open to all colleagues and friends, and we warmly welcome attendees irrespective of creed, faith, or background. Whether you are observing Ramadan or simply wish to join in the spirit of community and shared understanding, you will be most welcome.
“The best of you are those who feed others and spread peace among people.”
