Rally Obedience is a fun and challenging dog sport that encourages a positive relationship between dog and handler. Teams perform a series of obedience skills in one continuous and timed performance, guided by directional signs. The Canadian Association of Rally Obedience (CARO) is unique in that it allows the use of food rewards in the ring at novice and advanced levels.
In this course, we will focus on the fundamentals of CARO rally at a novice level.
This will include:
Understanding how to move through a rally course
Learning how to perform novice signs
How to minimize deductions and non-qualifications in the ring
Basic trial etiquette
Introduction to bar jump
Other tips and tricks
