Rage, Resistance and Redemption is the first book in a trilogy, which humanises the lived experiences of the black community through time.
The book explores complicated issues of slavery, abuse, mental health, racism, prejudice, and the unhealed wounds it can causes to individuals and families when the pain hasn’t been truly acknowledged and allowed to be heard and treated.
There are triumphant and empowering poems which unashamedly showcase themes of self love, black divinity, and acceptance. Poems designed to encourage the community to love the skin they are in, and to seek unity as part of the healing process.
This is an event not to be missed.

- Excerpts from the book will be performed live on the evening including a short Q&A with the author Simone Millwood.
