About this Event
Come and join us in exploring simple exercises, tips and techniques in watercolour for complete beginners or improvers.
If you want to try watercolour painting but you’re not sure where to begin, or you’d like to work on your own projects alongside other artists in a dedicated studio, come along to our friendly and relaxed drop-in Watercolour Club with artist & tutor Shelley. The friendly and relaxed session monthly session provides an opportunity to practice and ask questions outside of a rigid class structure. You can book in advance or arrive on the day and pay by card at the studio. If you have any questions just email Shelley on [email protected].
What you need to bring
You are welcome to bring their own paints and projects to work on with support from Shelley – if you’re a complete beginner you can turn up empty handed and use the materials we provide while Shelley will set you some simple starting exercises. We have tables, chairs & easels to work at in the studio.
Getting to the studio
Approach New England House from the New England Street side of the building and walk up to the locked blue double doors next to the sign for the ‘Building Manager’s Office’. Wait to be let in or call the number on the door for entry - the studio is on level 5, Unit 1 South, just knock and walk in. There is parking at London Road car park, Elder Place & Trafalgar St car parks; Brighton station is a 5 minute walk from the studio.
