Radical Readers Book Discussion: The Good Immigrant

How does it feel to be constantly regarded as a potential threat, strip-searched at every airport? Or be told that, as an actress, the part you're most fitted to play is 'wife of a terrorist'?

How does it feel to have words from your native language misused, misappropriated and used aggressively towards you? What is it like to feel you always have to be an ambassador for your race? How does it feel to always tick 'Other'? Join the OSCH collective for an in-person, relaxed conversation around these questions and themes from the anthology*.

Due to the personal and sensitive nature of topics, this event is 18+ only.

Whilst this event will be an in-person conversation and book discussion hosted by a member of our OSCH Collective about themes from the book 'The Good Immigrant', you do not need to have read the book to attend. The questions posed to attendees and the topics of discussion initiated will all be based on the concepts, ideas and thoughts shared by the authors rather than a detailed book discussion and analysis.
