About this Event
Raíces de Seguridad is a training focused on learning how to talk about child sexual abuse and how to create meaningful impact through advocacy and prevention. This training is designed for trusted and active members of the Latine community, people others turn to for guidance or support. You don’t need to be a professional, just someone committed to helping create safer environments for youth.
Participants Will:
- Understand the realities of child sexual abuse in the Latine community
- Explore practical ways to promote child safety and prevention in everyday settings
- Learn how to start conversations with family and community members, challenge myths, and respond when someone discloses abuse
- Develop the confidence and skills to take action as a child safety advocate within your family and community
