About this Event

The Pride of St James’s group presents an evening of open conversation between the congregation and clergy.

We’ll begin with a curated discussion exploring how queer and trans identities meet Christian life, faith, and theology before opening the floor.

Guests is then invited to submit their own questions in real time.

The evening will close with a screening of the short film produced at last July’s Pride event at St James’s and a Q&A with the director, Michelle Deignan.

Through moments of joy, conversation, and community, the film captures a collective effort to create an open, inclusive space rooted in care and welcome. Featuring The Revd Lucy Winkett, The Revd Dr Mariama Ifode-Blease, Verger Toks Mumuney, and members of the Pride of St James’s group, the film presents a woman-led church actively shaping a Christianity grounded in compassion, inclusion, and belonging.
