The sex ed you deserve! 🌈 Calling all queer baddies, curious cuties, and pleasure seekers. Certified sex educator and creator, Jasper St. James is bringing a queer-centered, sex-positive workshop to Nowhere Bookshop this Pride. This is the conversation we should’ve had long ago.

Queer Sex Ed is a modern queer pleasure and intimacy class designed to empower and affirm. In this workshop, we’ll dive into pleasure beyond penetration, anatomy beyond binaries, and how to communicate your desires with confidence and clarity. We’ll also explore the best toys for every body, how to choose them, and how to use them, so you can discover new layers of pleasure as a queer person. We’ll touch on intimacy, consent, body confidence, safer sex, and the language we use for our bodies and boundaries all through a queer-centered lens. Whether you’re just starting your journey or a seasoned explorer, you’ll leave feeling more empowered, informed, and alive in your pleasure.

This isn’t your awkward high school health class. Expect an inclusive, judgment-free space filled with real conversation, practical education, community, confidence, and the kind of energy that leaves you feeling a little more sexy. Designed for queer folks, allies, singles, partnered individuals, and anyone looking to build a healthier, more empowered relationship with pleasure and intimacy.

Fine Print (a.k.a. The Important Stuff):

This event is open to folks of all genders and sexualities. Whether you’re flying solo, coming with a partner(s), or rolling in with your crew, everyone is welcome, as long as you’re 18 years or older.

This workshop is presentation-based. That means you’ll be learning through guided discussion, tips, and interactive education. There will not be any live sexual demonstrations (This ain’t that kind of party. No shade to those kinds of parties, though.) Instead, think of this as a shame-free, inclusive, and affirming space where you can learn, ask questions, and explore safely.

Consent is non-negotiable. That means no touching, no play, and no crossing boundaries without clear, enthusiastic agreement. Respect is mandatory, and so is kindness. No homophobia, transphobia, fatphobia, racism, ageism, sexism, ableism, or any other form of discrimination will be tolerated. If you can’t vibe with respect, this isn’t the event for you.

About Jasper St. James:

Jasper St. James is a Certified Sex Coach and Sex Educator with over 9 years of experience in the field of sexual health and wellness. Formerly with the Sexology Institute, he has spent nearly a decade empowering people to explore intimacy, pleasure, and confidence with knowledge and humor.

Beyond the classroom, Jasper is a proud San Antonio based content creator who highlights the best of the city, the founder and organizer of the You Better Walk: Queer Walking Club, and an award-winning burlesque performer with more than 15 years on stage. A staple in the local queer and creative community, he brings a mix of expertise, authenticity, and unapologetic flair to everything he does.
