In her debut EP Narcissus, QUEEN QUAIL (Kirstin Edwards) documents a coming of age that could only happen while living far from home, across the sea, uprooted, and searching.Written four years into her life in Berlin, Narcissus reflects the disorientation and wonder of forging identity in a foreign place. In trying to make sense of her present, Edwards reaches back to her former self, weaving in sonic snapshots of her childhood home in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
The result is a blend of alternative country and indie pop: guitar-driven, emotionally charged songs about trying to find footing in an ever more complicated world.
Full of nostalgia, longing, and quiet resilience, Narcissus was recorded in a small Berlin studio with David Thornton (production) and Aiden Lowe (drums), featuring pedal steel contributions from Milwaukee- based musician Will Hansen. In this way, the songs span the emotional and geographic divide between home and away, past and present.
Though Edwards may question the very ground she stands on, one thing is clear: she is just getting started.

SLOE PAUL, project of Berlin based songwriter and producer Paul Abbrecht is back on track with his third studio album “Searching/Finding” (2025, Treibender Teppich Records). Classic pop songs: unhurried, spacious, with melodies that open wide and arrangements that stay clear and graceful. They speak of farewells and fresh starts, carrying both melancholy and hope. The last shimmer of summer, translated into sound. You might be reminded of Brian Wilsons Surf’s Up, John Cales european chanson ballads or the one man Beatles pop of Emitt Rhodes – only to find that it's really just Sloe Paul who sounds like that. These songs will be performed for you this evening by a duo consisting of Marius Alsleben (guitar, vocals) and Paul Abbrecht (vocals, piano).
