About this Event

History

Over a period of some three or four thousand years it is a method that has been progressively refined and technically adapted by practitioners who learned by experience and observed its effects.

The concept of mind-body harmony has been central to Eastern thought for centuries. Many now see it as a new “science of well-being” with enormous preventative and life-prolonging potential.

Aims of Qigong

Qigong is no mere oriental myth; nor does it offer a cheap escape from reality. On the contrary, its function is to help people deal with reality, face it, enjoy it and make the most of it.

We are constantly engaging in doing, then we fall into bed exhausted, wake up the next day, and start more doing, more running. Very often we feel cut off from our own experience and feelings. We are driven by the mind, by thought, by expectations, by fear, by wanting to get somewhere else.

Qigong has the quality of purity. This kind of practice is powerful because people can do it without any belief system or religious feeling. They can have the awareness that experiences calm, clarity, sensitivity, and an understanding about themselves and about their lives.

How Does it Work?

The link between breathing, posture, concentration and movement not only benefits general health, but deals specifically with stress-related diseases. It is essential to create the right inner environment of the mind.

Creating that right environment is vital for your energy truly to happen to defuse our negativity, aggression, and turbulent emotions.

Remember: A method is only a means, not the energy itself. Energy is not something that you can do. It is something that has to happen spontaneously. The correct posture is to create a more inspiring environment for Qigong, for the awakening of energy.

There is a connection between the posture of the body and attitude of the mind. “Chi“ energy arises naturally once your posture and attitude is inspired.

Benefits and Results You can Gain from Practicing Qigong

  • Strengthens your immune system in the most natural way possible.
