About this Event
In this 3-hour workshop Irene Appleby, (nee Nabereznyj), will teach you the ancient art of writing with beeswax on eggs using a tool called a 'kistka'.
We begin workshop with learning a little bit about the history and cultural significance of Pysanky. Then move into the technical skills necessary to create your own unique designs.
In this workshop, you will design your egg, dip the egg into natural dyes, use a 'kistka' and so much more. Irene will guide you through the whole process and at the end, you will leave with a newfound appreciation for this beautiful art form and take home your own one-of-a-kind Pysanky creations which you can also hang on your holiday tree.
