About this Event
This is not just another night of live music. This is a Toronto indie rock debut.
Pushpin has never played live before. On May 31st, that changes.
At Monarch Tavern, one of the city’s most iconic rooms for Toronto live music, you’ll be packed in with a crowd ready to try something new.
Pushpin is led by Duncan Briggs, a recurring character in the Toronto indie music scene known for his work with BBQ Pope, Fade Awaays, Jay Feelbender, Romeo Romeo, and more. The band also features Toronto music staples Max Bornstein (Goodbye Honolulu), Nastasia PK (Romeo Romeo), Alex Laurie (Prancing Like Zebras), and Mike Poisson (Nick Posthumus & The Soft Maybes). These kickass original songs, written and arranged by Briggs, are a full-force collision of psych rock and dream pop. It'll be loud, immersive, and hit harder than a first show has any right to.
In support, Faiyaz and the Wasted Chances will deliver a chaotic, high-energy garage punk set with distorted guitars and relentless excitement.
And to start the night, emmersonHALL will pull the audience inward with bass-heavy indie and alt-folk tunes to set the tone for an unforgettable showcase.
This is Toronto indie rock at ground level.
Beginnings don’t repeat, and you don’t get a second chance to catch a debut show. So get your tickets now and secure your spot.
