About this Event
Need a weekend reset that comes with wagging tails and golden floof? You're in the right place.
Welcome to Golden Retriever Puppy Yoga by Yoga Kawa, where the floor is made of yoga mats and the teaching assistants have soft ears, big paws, and an inexplicable belief that every human is their best friend.
This is the kind of class that turns a stressful week into a soft landing. You stretch, you breathe, you giggle, and somewhere between cat-cow and child's pose a golden puppy decides your mat is the best napping spot in the room. It's gentle, it's silly, it's genuinely good for you. Bring a friend, your partner, your mom, or come solo and leave with a dozen new ones (puppies count).
Here's how the hour breaks down:
- 35 minutes of easy, beginner-friendly yoga with puppies as your golden little co-teachers
- 20 minutes of pure cuddle time, kisses included, no extra charge
- 5 minutes of sharing circle to soak it all in before heading back into the world
Why people keep coming back
Puppy yoga in Toronto does something a regular class can't. The puppies wander, snuggle, and tumble around the room, and your nervous system just… exhales. Studies (and frankly, common sense) show that time with puppies lowers stress, lifts mood, and makes everything feel a little more manageable. You'll move your body, meet good humans, and remember what it feels like to laugh on a yoga mat.
A note on golden retriever puppies
Goldens are basically the platonic ideal of a puppy. Soft, fluffy, warm, and absolutely convinced that you are the most interesting human they have ever met. They lean into cuddles, they flop into laps, and they will follow you into pigeon pose with the enthusiasm of a small bear cub. If you've been waiting for the perfect breed to meet, this is it.
A few good-to-knows
Kids ages 5 and up are welcome. Anyone under 18 needs to come with a parent or guardian, and grown-ups are responsible for helping their little ones move gently and handle the puppies with care. The puppies are small (for now), the humans are kind, and the vibe is very much "everyone gets a turn."
Mats provided. No experience needed. Just show up ready to be a little bit obsessed with golden retrievers for an hour.
